HOW IT STARTED...
PCI founders were inspired to respond to Haiti's disaster. They quickly and effectively created D.M.R.T. They started making phone calls, sending emails, and text messages. We had volunteers, supplies, medical equipment, and medication within hours. Volunteers gathered and sorted the vast donations. Everything was either stored or packaged for travel. Flights were arranged with unlimited supplies allowed. Forms were created, tubs had contents listed...everyone was prepared to deal with immigration rules, guidelines, and regulations in order to get to where help was needed. The 1st team utilized planes, boats, and vans to reach Jacmal Haiti.
CURRENT STATUS...
D.M.R.T. helped thousands over the course of two activations. The supplies and funds that remain has been donated to PCI to further assist those in need.
